Yikes! It's been over a month since my last update?! Oops.
Anywho, much of the same-old same-old still applies. I'm still working at the Old Folks home, though I'm glad my time there is limited (down to a little less than 2 weeks biznatches) because some shit is going down there that en't too clear to us peons. Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye...I hate drama. So I'm glad to be free of it, just as several old timers quit along with a couple of friends.
Since school ended (again, I know), I've been chilling largely. I went home for Xmas because my grandfather and uncle paid for it (grad and Xmas combo gift). I haven't picked up any extra hours at work because of the twin facts that I feel uncomfy asking for more hours when I'm leaving as my work is somewhat unnecessary and because of the shake-ups in the hierarchy. And honestly, I've been pulling something like 70-80 hr weeks with school/work, I think a short time with mere 32-hr weeks isn't completely out of line.
My new job at the UW starts in 13 days, which is terrifying, but the pay and bennies are awesome, so I'll be able to DO things again. Since my week point five of unpaid leave (I could take Xmas off but this doesn't magically give me vacay time), I've been living smallishly so that the transition to UW isn't as painful in the munny department). And I've been researching what I want to start doing since I now have time. Tae kwan do seems in order and maybe joining this new dystopian book club might be something that could be fun. Fun...I can have it again. It seems like such an alien concept...
So, life's good but change is a-comin'. Yay.:)
