Room 313; Wednesday Night
Luke couldn't sleep again. Not surprising, as he was heading into his last few weeks before he had to go on his mission. Plans and possible scenarios kept filling his head and it was impossible to filter them out. His brain simply wouldn't shut off at night. It wouldn't be so bad, if it weren't for Nico.
Really, this game of the both of them pretending to be asleep was getting annoying. At first Luke had chalked it up to Nico having nightmares of his own, or that maybe Luke being awake bothered Nico and caused him to be too weirded out to sleep. But after three weeks without Nico saying anything or making half-assed excuses to sleep somewhere else, Luke became aware that he was staying up on purpose. Which was really freaking annoying and creepy. Luke already couldn't sleep, dealing with this at the same time was too much.
Luke was especially tired tonight after today's training, and his patience wasn't what it usually was. He was laying on his side, back to Nico, and trying to ignore the urge to just roll over and yell at his cousin. Trying being the keyword there.
