It wasn't a bad idea either as Roy tended to take his time to respond being called over for another man. He was sexist like that. He did make it in the end.
"Someone's here for me?" he asked the receptionist, not really paying attention to anyone else at the reception.
Roy blinked. "You could have said that instantly," he grumbled. In her defence, she probably did. He'd just tuned out at the man part.
Her turned towards the man she'd indicated, but Aly's brother didn't look like that. This was how... "You're kidding right? We're not on the island anymore!" This so wasn't fair.

"The gentleman over there," the receptionist said, gesturing over to where Aly was sitting. "Said his name was Alan Kawalsky."

"Your funny mask hates me," he complained, too aware of the nosey receptionist watching them.

Aly raised an eyebrow, looking amused. "Do I need to go through security procedures first?"

"I'm not frisking you, but you can stay put if you'd like me to call someone," he offered.

"Come with me, Aly?" he asked softly, so no one else could overhear.

"We can talk privately in my office, mister Kawalsky," he said, starting down the hall. There was something he hadn't thought he'd been calling her.

"It's appreciated, General Mustang," she smirked, pitching her voice lower and reaching over to tweak his butt when no one could see.
