Her train was leaving in less than half an hour, and Aly had finally packed her bag. It hadn't helped that someone was apparently set on distracting her.

"Can I trust you to come with me to the train?" she asked. "Or are you going to try to make me miss it."

"You can trust me to do both," he remarked as he leaned a shoulder against the door frame.

He frowned. "You want to hear that I'll easily let you go?"

"More that you won't try to make me feel bad for leaving," she said dryly, throwing her bag over her shoulder.

"Are you saying I'd do anything to make you feel bad?" he asked, moving towards her to take her bag from her.

He hrmphed and took her bag from her, slinging it over his shoulder as he turned and headed down the stairs.

Chuckling, Aly glanced around the room one more time then followed him down. "Touched a nerve, huh?"

"Don't know what you mean," he said lightly as he grabbed his keys from the table in the hall.

"I've managed being sneaky for longer than you've been a spy," Roy argued as he opened the door. He was exaggerating just a little there.

Aly was especially thrilled he was saying that just as he opened the door.

"Yeah. Obviously. Proved it right there too."

It wasn't like he was shouting it down the street, nor was the pavement right beside the house. "I'm trying to get you to your train in time," he pointed out. Which was entirely his fault too.
