MCA 10: Monday Evening

Aly let herself into the apartment after a trip to get cupcakes and Chinese food.  She stopped short, grinning at the sight on the couch.  "Did you ever consider changing careers?" she teased, shaking her head at Roy and the two demanding cats curled up on his chest.  "Because you're a great pillow."

Roy snorted and tilted his head back to look at Aly. "You should know since you use my supportive services regularly," he remarked.

"Supportive?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "You know what that sounds like, right?"

"Dirty?" he asked hopefully, dropping the report he'd been failing to finish still on the coffee table.

"Just a little," Aly teased, eyeing the report. "Should I hold off on food until you finish that report?"

"Depends," he glanced up at her as he absently patted Dee. "Do you think I urgently need to lose weight?"

"Are you saying that you're not ever going to finish it?" she asked, laughing as Dee snuggled up under his hands.

"I will eventually," he argued, deciding to even things and pet Ow as well. "Just maybe not this week?"

Ow bit Roy's finger, chewing reflectively.

"When, exactly, is it due?" she asked.

"Um... about a week," he said, frowning at Ow. "Ago."

Ow seemed very content as he gnawed away.

Aly shook her head. "Riza's going to have to come get you," she said. "And you're going to deserve whatever she does to you."

"It doesn't really matter if it's longer in my inbox than it is in some politicians'," he said absently.

Aly moved over to the couch, raising an eyebrow as she looked at him to make room for her. "I suppose not."

"What did you get?" he asked curiously as he shifted carefully, sitting up enough so she could slip under him.

"Chinese food," Aly said, thinking it was self-evident.

He rolled his eyes while he settled back against her.. "There's a lot of Chinese food."

She combed her fingers through his hair. "There's cupcakes too."
