The Docks then on the Water - After Classes

Finding herself finished with her workshop and with a whole new bay to explore, Aly found herself at the docks.  There seemed to be enough wind to make it an interesting day on water, and she started checking Elysia over, making sure the little boat was seaworthy and sound.

The sailboat hadn't gotten much use this summer as the island had meandered

With the changes on the island, the troopers had had more ground to cover and Roy had been helping out with those. He was on his back to the station when he noticed someone at the docks near Aly's boat and he grinned when it realised it was her.

"You look like you're going somewhere," he called when he was near enough.

"I was considering it," she replied, shading her eyes to look up at him. "Nice day for a sail."

Roy raised an eyebrow. "You'd sail without your cabin boy?"

"Now why would I do that," Aly asked. "It would be pretty silly of me."

"Possibly because you're trying to escape his wrath for making such a racket in your class," he suggested, moving closer to the boat.

Aly widened her eyes. "Racket?"

[light_a_spark]

"Yes. Racket," he replied, moving to her side of the boat and he briefly reached out to trace his fingers down the hull. "I figured it wasn't just coincidence that it happened at exactly the same time as your explosives class."

"The racket that I mentioned this morning?" she asked, leaning back in the cockpit, her fingers still checking the ropes surely.

"After I left?" he raised an eyebrow at her.

She coughed. "Perhaps I forgot."

[light_a_spark]

"You don't forget," he replied easily. "You're just waiting to get arrested. I think you have a thing for Cooper."

"He is a good looking man," Aly said thoughtfully. "And I do enjoy older men."

[light_a_spark]

"I'll go tell him that you're here then," he said, already turning away to head towards the station.

"If you leave, how will I sail?" she asked.

[light_a_spark]

He paused. "You don't think Cooper could sail?" he asked.

[tricksy_spy]

"It wouldn't really be the same," Aly pointed out. "I do need my cabin boy."
