halo!
It has been a bit. Here is my update. My uncle died of lung cancer. I did not really know him, so it does not effect me too much, but it upsetting my father, so it has been difficult. Lots of family crap coming to the surface. My mom had to have a small surgical procedure done. I stayed with her at the hospital, and even though she is o.k. now, it was freaky walking in on her coming out of anesthesia, and being in a hospital bed. I am not good at realizing that my parents are older, and all that. On a happier note, my brother has found a way to get to the airport (the transit strike in NYC), and is coming home today. It will be nice. My father comes back from Texas on Friday, so that will be happy. Then I get to celebrate Andy's birthday, and some holiday cheer!
I have a whole week off starting in a few hours too! That makes me VERY happy! I do not go back to work until the 4th of January! I have not taken time off since I started working, so my PTO is massive, and I need to use it to keep my sanity, I believe. I also find out today if I get a raise!
