I first heard him on Letterman, and I was intrigued by how... HAPPY he seemed. And the song was so raucous and wild ("To the Dogs or Whoever") and the guitar player kept helping out the drummer with a stick he hid in his jacket... it was all so crazy I had to look him up (and I misheard Dave; I thought it was a band called The Historical Conquests, which I thought was an awesome name for a band). All these years later... I've bought all of his albums at least twice (I spent $80 on his new album because I got an autographed LP, an advanced copy, and then I bought it at the store when it was officially released). I just love his writing. :D

Hi! I'm a professional writer whose interest in politics don't extend much past the Daily Show and Colbert (and occasionally Maddow, but if I get too much information I start getting angry), I like BBC a bit, depending on what's on (Doctor Who is an enjoyment, not an obsession, but Life on Mars is one of the best cop shows ever), and I like anything with Amanda Tapping, I like Marvel (Spider-Man, but not recently; First Class was brilliant). Some people say the glass is half empty, others say it's half full. I drink straight from the faucet.
