Dear Yule Goat

Oct 27, 2015 01:39

This is a placholder! A placeholder which unfortunately I only just realized had heretofore been flocked. I am so sorry, Yule Goat of mine! I appreciate you!

I'll have a real post up in the next few days; I'm so sorry about the delay, but I'm actually moving this weekend and my brain is apparently packed. For now, feel free to check on the 'dear author' tag for past years' letters, and review my signups here:

Wise Child Series - Monica Furlong
Juniper

I love everything about adult Juniper. I love how patient and kind she is, and how she slowly, often quietly, teaches Wise Child so much about becoming a better person. I would love more about being a doran, or more patient tutelage. I would particularly love to see more of Juniper's journey from childhood to the lovely, wise, patient, kind adult we see in Wise Child.

I would love anything that feels like these books.

Please no really unhappy endings.

Howl Series - Diana Wynne Jones
Howl, Sophie, Calcifer

Really, anything in line with the books would make me so happy here!

RED (Movies)
any character

I love both RED and RED 2. I most want something which feels like the movies, with the same kind of comic book larger-than-life utter ridiculousity. I love all the characters. I love the way Sarah is just SPRINTING up the learning curve in her life. I love the explosions and the strange practicalities and the utter willingness to shrug and accept absolute madness as normalcy, everyone's utter unflappability. Anything you write that feels like the movies will make me so happy. I would prefer something which isn't Marvin POV, as that sounds traumatic.

17 Again (2009)
Scarlett O'Donnell, Mike O'Donnell | Mark Gold

I would love adult!Scar/17!Mike; whether that is after the events of the movie, or takes place while Mike is still 17-year-old "Mark" is entirely up to you. I would love this to be explicit, whether they are having sex or one (or both) is wanking thinking about it, but if you're uncomfortable with that, I will be thrilled by anything cute and a little silly, with an edge of him wanting her and following her around like a puppy and her being like "Oh my god, I want this CHILD, he is my SON'S FRIEND! Aaaaaaack!". I tend to prefer she not know he's actually her husband. That said, I adore established relationships and would be happy to have this be about them after Mike is an adult again (but would still like it to be sexy and hot and referring back to the dynamic when he was "Mark").

No incest, please, though I'm a lot of amused by the daughter thinking Mark is into her (or gay). If you want to include Ned's growing nerdthing with the principal in the background, that would also be great fun.

Please do not break up Scar and Mike!

You are a wonder and a joy! <3!
