[ o o c ] the scoop/f.a.q. on muse shift into AU space
as of 3/10/14 - kangin has officially shifted himself, most of his immediate belongings, and various animals to japan. at the present he's living in a town just outside nagano - failing at language and learning how to be a mountain man.
AU/PSL with nonAU history? wtf?
on december 25th 2005, this annoying bearish idiot decided to grace his mun with his presence & has, save for one or two quiet spells, never left. he began back then as a non-AU muse, living in the world of super junior and seoul, enjoying himself even with the hardships of stardom and his own idiocy. his history and his life has been based in that world and for the most part that won't ever change.
however, in 2012, after a number of not-well-ended relationships and years of being single, the muse finally happened to stumble into a partnership that truly changed his life. it's one of those once in a lifetime things where temperament, dreams, and future wishes align perfectly and as it progressed he (as a muse) came to the conclusion that he didn't want to give it up. so after a long internal and external discussion with himself, his significant other, and his family he made the difficult decision that he wanted to step away from stardom and start a new life/the future that he (as a muse) has always wanted. and because the real obviously has no intention to leave super junior any time soon - this means a step into AU-space for the muse.
how did you fade him out of nonAU history?
on august 31st 2013, kim heechul returned from his military service and became the 'hyung' of super junior once more. up until this point kangin had been the oldest, and even though hyukjae is officially leader, would not have wanted to leave because of those duties. however, upon heechul's return he would have very quietly begun to negotiate with upper level SM management to break his contracts early. it will last some months and he will continue touring and schedule with as little disruption as possible.
please note that only a few select people that would know he's discussing a break with the company. those in the know would be his family, some of the super junior staff and his groupmates. they would be asked to keep it to themselves to quell the spread of rumors. this would not have been common knowledge among the rest of the company and most of the general SM staff.
where is he going/where is he now?
currently: chikuma area, japan
once the long negotiations ended, he would have moved out of the dorms and into an apartment in seoul for a few weeks to get most of his life in order and packed up. he then shifted to japan and is now in a semi-rural portion of nagano with his significant other. together they own a ryokan/onsen, which kangin both runs as the manager and works in if its needed. and once the dust of his departure has settled, super junior members & their staff have a permanent invitation to visit at any time, as do most of the other SM artists that he was close to.

this is a bit dependent on who you are but as some general guidelines:

- he broke his contract: for most it would have been sudden and even though there was a press conference about it from SM they were pretty vague as to why
- he left seoul: SM would have said he needed some continued time apart to deal with personal issues and since the military was no longer an option he has gone abroad 'indefinitely'
- he is in japan: since he 'dislikes' traveling going very far seemed a bit out of the question & he would have just somehow 'ended up' in nagano working for a family there
may not know
- he has a significant other
- he plans to get married to this person and have a family
- that all of the above were the reasons why he broke his contract with SM
- what exactly the terms of his contract break with the company were
