eoy anime convention @ expo

Back from the end-of-year anime convention @ expo! Went to fetch Yiusum Kuoying and Kuoying's sister from Yiusum's place (ohyeah everyone i'm very very sorry for hurrying yall this morning) and we went to expo! Met Yu Ling there who had been waiting impatiently. Then the five of us trooped over to an empty toilet and I helped to spraypaint Yiusum and Kuoying's hair and pin their obis to their costumes :D I'm lazy to upload pictures.. maybe later or something. Still need to get some pics from Kuoying.
Anyway, there were many many Sasukes and most of them were super loserish some of them looked really weird. I liked the Sasuke with his curse seal released though. There was this golden-haired Hitsugaya and the Ino had this reeeaaally really cool kunai with her which I held and examined over and over again. I WANT THE KUNAI :( It's black and plastic, but it's heavy and a little sharp on the other end and it's a beautiful, life-sized kunai!
Bought some stuff. Wanted to buy yaoi doujinshi / prints (I already had pairings in mind heh) but turned out that this event did not allow hentai, yaoi or yuri. GUUUH. Ended up buying a lot of chibified bookmarks of the Naruto series because I forebade myself to buy Bleach stuff. There was this wonderful Ichimaru/Hitsugaya folder.. and an Ichigo bankai poster but it cost $7 and I don't have that sort of money. Yu Ling went to buy Bleach trading cards while I swooned over the Anko ones. I like Anko. She's so wild and dedicated and funky all in one. And I love her eyes and hair :D I didn't buy all of them though. Anyway.. I wanted to keep looking at the Ichimaru/Hitsugaya folder but when I returned someone snagged it. Which was good in a way heh.
WAAAHH THERE WAS THIS REALLY COOL YONDAIME PRINT BOOKMARK! It came as a set with a similarly cool Itachi and Kakashi. But the Yondaime was really the coolest! Cost $4, which is cheap in comparison to others, but since I had allowed myself to splurge on chibi Neji Itachi Sakura Kakashi Naruto Sasuke and some Kakashi sketch thing, I rushed past the booth muttering I MUST NOT GET THE YONDAIME! :( Sigh I really liked that one but what I've bought is enough :D The Neji and Itachi are wonderfully artsy and cheery while the rest have clear colours, thin lines and a general appearance of being serious and defined.
The Neji plushie I saw was really cute and I just hyperventilated in front of the booth. NEJI-SAMA. So was the (neutral- they don't allow yaoi, remember?) Uchihacest poster! And the chibi Division 6 poster! And the chibi Byakuya bookmark! The Soubi Ritsuka prints! The PoT merchandise, especially the trading cards and posters, were really cool. Yu Ling bought two Tezukas, I think. I gave them a pass :D All above mentiones stuff were too expensive (with the exception of cards.. but $2 for a good one? meh.), and anyway, even if I have the money.. I don't really want to blast it all.
Okay I need to save up. I spent quite a lot on all my posters and blank CDs (for burning) and so on. Oh yeah and I'm quite happy because Kuoying lent me more Naruto episodes and Siyi's returning me Bleach tomorrow.
I had to leave early though, because I had to reach home by a specified time. Kuoying said I missed the most interesting part :( But ohwell nevermind cos they all promised they'll take lots of pictures for me! And Yu Ling says she's gonna take extra shots of the Bleach cosplayers. Heh heh. It's quite tragic that the Naruto group disbanded, and I'm sure they're not even from the same group, but the Kimimaro and Tayuya -Kuoying and Yiusum- are seriously funky and the cursed Sasuke and Ino and Naruto (and a passable Itachi) and Tsunade are not bad. Apparently last year's Kakashi wore very tight pants or something -.-" Ahahah and we saw a bankai!Ichigo being wrapped in bandages and his underwear could all be seen. Ahh and I saw an Edward Elric whose coat? jacket? was super nice!!
Okay I'm very incoherent. Heh I like my Naruto prints / bookmarks! Whee must turn up for Cosfest next July or something cos there will definitely be shounen-ai!! Sorry lah for sounding like a brainless sick fanatic but I was really looking for prints of kakairu and byakurenji :( I was half looking out for a cover of Icha Icha Paradise also because Yiusum? or was it Kuoying? mentioned it to me. Phooey.
