There is a relaly good quote from the bct a few weeks ago where, i believe its sherfel, says that if next year tsa or jrotc gets cut, along with any other fine arts programs, it will be "directly the fault of the steel band" because they needed the 210 dollars to go to notre dame.. which is a huge honor being nominated to assist a college who is starting a steel drum band. And as far as bringing up TSA and JROTC, Cory Moyer just got a 150,000 dollar scholarship through JROTC, and I know for one, I won 500 dollars alreayd through TSA this year. Plus all three of these programs bring recognition to ambridge. For example, BE Taylor who lives in wheeling, West Virginia, was at the gym with mrs. debona's sister raving about our steel drum band. I also know that several people who do or do not live in this district sent checks to the aahs steel drum band to aid in defrayingthe costs of our trip. Those checks were sent back out of principle. The ambridge alumni website was also donating I believe a month's worth of membership dues to the steel drum band. And we recorded a song the other day which was i believe for their website.
