"Are you looking for the motherload? No?"
I woke up at 3 in the afternoon today. I'm still exhausted from last night. (Or this morning, however you look at it.) I'm a stupid, stupid girl and that's the way (uh-huh, uh-huh) I like it. I love all my classes so far. Especially my theater class. There are 10 TAs who perform during every class period. I also absolutely love my human development and family studies course. The professor is a 60 year-old woman who left Penn State during her undergraduate work to pursue a career as a rock star. Is that not the coolest thing you've ever heard? My classes range in size from 600 to 25. And the only foreigner I have is my French instructor. Her name is Clarisse Aymard and she's a grad student from France who's here to study American Women's Studies. Being from Paris, the fashion capital of the world, she has impeccable taste. I am infinitely jealous of her.
But I'm so tired. If I wasn't so stupid, I wouldn't have to sleep alllllll day on Sunday. But then again, if I wasn't so stupid, I wouldn't have nearly as much fun. I love it here. I really do think Penn State is basically the greatest university on the face of the earth (no offense to all of you who don't go here. I'm sure you like your schools a whole whole lot too.) One of the things I love most about it is that 99.98% of the people here agree with me that it is the greatest school on the planet. What a huge change, coming from Ambridge, where any "school spirit" exhibited is intended sarcastically. People here really do love it here. I don't see any reason not to love it here. Of course, there are some who don't like it, for whatever reason (hence the missing .2%). The thing about college, though, is that this is the first school you attend that you got to choose for yourself. So why would you choose a school you weren't totally in love with? How many schools are there in the country, and you couldn't find the best one for you? Oh well. I'm happy. Most people here are. I love it here.
