(no subject)
ahh! finally back from chicago. it was only two days but it felt like a week. it was only supposed to be one day. but just as we got on the busy busy dan/ryan highway mark's mom's car started freaking out. so we pulled to the side of the road to check check check it out.
now, a little bit of history. let's see. a while back mark went in for an oil change and the fellows told him that he needed something or other fixed on his car. so he took that to a different place and they said the car was just fine and dandy, just a realinment perhaps. so he went to go get that done and the people told him they wouldn't do it cos he needed new tires, which he really did. so he got new tires. so then we are driving from mt. pleasant to muskegon and his car starts freaking out after every stop. so his dad takes it to a friend who knows a lot of the good things about transmissions. that gets fixed but oh ho ho when mark and his dad are driving back they notice that something else needs fixed, something i don't even remember what. so they take it back in and they let us borrow his mom's car. a nice big rainy storm pulls over grand haven and mark's dad get caughts in some nice good old flash flooding and bottems out his car. yowsa! lucky lucky no one got hurt. so we say we will drop off mark's mom's car on our way back from chicago...well, there we are, all up to date.
so we took the car to chicago and it broke. took it to a place to get fixed and they say they will try to get it fixed by today. they will call us when they find out things. we go and get some lunch and then check on things and they say call back at 5. we go to the place and sign our lease. wonder around the town a bit and then call at 5 and they say the parts aren't in, they come tomorow morning. nuts to that. we go find a hotel. all the while trying to get a hold of our landlord person who may or may not have some keys ready for us. appearently this guy is busier than busies. he keeps saying he will meet us and give us the keys, and he even offered to let us stay the night at our apartment. but we alreayd paid to much for a hotel :(. but it is just as well cos the guy never actually met us to give us the key. said he would the next morning but that was also a lie. so we never got a key. booted out of our hotel at noon then we had to wander around in limbo for the rest of the day wondering when the car would be done (if at all).
this probably wasn't to interesting to read but i'm ok with that. cos i learned a new joke this weekend.
also when i got back my comptuer did a funny little thing and shut itself off. so if you said someting to me on the instant messanger i didn't get it. never would have left my computer on if i knew i was going to be gone so long but ohs wells.
