What a weekend...
Friday after work I went to 3rd Base (a bar) with a few work folks. We were sending off one of them on a nice long sabattical. Once I left there, I went to Z-Tejas to meet tennisboy and his friend from Fort Worth. Then we stopped at Eddie V's!!!!! That Godiva Molten Chocolate cake is e-v-i-l, but so good (and not as much if you share it with three people).
Saturday morning, my friend Dave and I went mtn biking at the Green Belt. Yes, the creeks are still pretty high, but what are you going to do? Pick up your bike and wade through the creek. I think at one point it was up to my chest! Fun stuff. We went to Triumph Cafe afterwards for lunch. Then my friend Teresa and I headed to Sweet Berry Farms near Lexington, Texas (out in the middle of no where). We picked blackberries. Freshly picked black berries taste soooooo good :-)
Saturday night, I met up with tennisboy and his golfing buddies at Maudies on Lake Austin. I wasn't really hungy b/c of all those berreis I ate :)
Sunday morning I woke up very early to head out to Danskin. Advance Rehab had a tent out there. I was at the race site by 5:30 am. What a hot and humid day for a race. I think I'd rather have been racing...at least that way I would have been done quickly and then out of there. We left the site around 12:30. The second I got home I took a long, long nap.
This morning I am getting ready to leave for Portland for the entire week. I won't be back until Saturday!!! Yikes!!! That's lots of clothes to take!!!
