This weekend was a long weekend, between happy hour, long trail runs, long bike rides and a super bowl party.... I was happy to finally find time to sleep after it was all over :)
Friday a small group of use decided to start happy hour a little early. We were at Saba at 4:30 (hh starts at 4:00 there).
cam_ray, Laurie, Jennifer and I had some appetizers and drinks. Their mojitos are just about the best you've ever tasted (next to cuba libra's) and their food is delicious. Even better, the drinks are half price and so are the appetizers. Mmmm Mmm Mmmmm. Next stop was Malagas for some declious Spanish tapas, Malajitos (thier version of mojitios), and more hh specials. 219 West has a happy hour that last till 9:00pm on Fridays. They have a great menu to choose from as well. What a night. After 219, most of the peole went home, Tennis boy, Shannon, Dave, and Jennifer and I went to Gingerman for one more drinks. Gingerman was packed! I never seen it that busy before. We still managed to find a booth to sit in. What a fun night.
Saturday morning, I met up with Susan and others for a 2.5 hour run. Susan and I ran on the Greenbelt and this time we found some new trails and got turned around a little, and still had a great time. We ended up being on the trail for 3 hours, but who cares, we were on the Greenbelt. I'd rather be on the trial for 3 hours then on the road.
My friend Raul and my other friend Tracy had thier engagement party on Saturday night. Teresa, Steven, Tennis Boy and I went to the party. Their were a lot of people there and sooo much delicious food!! It was incredible. Both Raul and Tracy looked very, very happy.
Sunday morning, Laurie and I went for a 4.5 hour bike ride. It turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous day. We rode all over the place and it was just great. I was so ready for a nap after the ride, but I had to get things ready for the bunch of folks I had coming over for the Super Bowl Party. The super bowl party was fun. We made pizzas and one person even made a chocolate dessert pizza. Everyone left around 9:30 and I was very happy to hit the sack. I was exhausted. I am amazed I even work up this morning after such a long weekend.
