Prompt agony over!
Finally, I was able to come up with a third prompt and post my entry to the SS/HG Exchange this year.
Fic prompts:
(1) Harry is carrying on a secret relationship with a centaur and suspects he's been rumbled - by tabloid newspaper reporter Severus Snape, who would love to be the author of Harry's public humiliation. Harry turns to Hermione, who works in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, to suppress the story. Not only would Snape love to publish and be damned, it turns out that Lucius Malfoy has made a bid for the evidence and wants to indulge in a healthy spot of blackmail. How does Hermione persuade the two men to leave Harry in peace? Farce, please, but not crackfic. Extra points for SS/HG/LM. Absolutely no non-con but blatant, unapologetic manipulation (by all parties) is otherwise okay.
(2) In addition to all of those other things Muggles thought were just fantasy, it turns out the gods are real, too. When Snape lies bleeding out on the floor of the Shrieking Shack, Aphrodite takes a fancy to him and saves his life. She decides to persecute Hermione, Harry, and Ron for abandoning Snape in his hour of need. As a vengeful goddess of love, she can make all of their relationships spectacular failures. Hephaistos, her jealous husband, would like to help the Trio, but his cures have a way of being worse than the disease. It's up to Hermione to acquire Snape's forgiveness and save her friends from the malefactions of Aphrodite. Romance, smut, or gen - as long as there's plenty of humour and plenty of farce (but no crackfic!).
(3) Snape is standing for MP of Dewey & Cheatham. Hermione, as part of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, is asked to investigate his campaign for signs of magical electoral fraud and to assess whether his candidacy is at risk of breaching the Statute of Wizarding Secrecy. When she finds Snape less than cooperative, she is forced to butt in on his campaign process to complete her investigation. Extra points for hacks, politicos, stump speeches, pressing the flesh, and a scene involving Snape door-stepping. Extra extra points if he's Tory and Hermione is New Labour and they have a blazing row about Mrs Thatcher.

(1) Snape and Hermione feeding the pigeons in Trafalgar Square as PC Plod approaches to administer an on-the-spot fine.
(2) Trading Places - Hermione as the greasy, ill-tempered Potions Mistress, Snape as the pink-cheeked happy young know-it-all. (This one can be smutty if you like, but no underage or student/teacher; think Snape as apprentice or assistant instead.)
(3) Hermione a la Jimi Hendrix; Snape as a groupie.
So yeah. I'm a little weird. But I took miamadwyn's advice and wrote prompts of stuff I'd really like to read or look at, rather than trying to think up stuff that had never been done before. I'm not hugely into romance per se, so I've tried to do prompts where romance could be part of the story, but where the main idea is a battle of wits instead of a battle of hearts.
Tomorrow I shall be posting other people's submissions which I think are particularly awesome.
