I. SS/HG exchange fic. I am nearly, nearly finished with this; it's currently at 7700 words. Unfortunately, I am looking for a second beta for it, as I wasn't able to complete the bloody thing before lulabelle72 went gallivanting off to Florida. Is there anyone in a position to take pity on me and lend her stylistic expertise?
II. Work. This is the long stretch between half-term and Christmas. Trying to get back into the swing of things last week was easier said than done, thanks to the elections, and also thanks to
III. The brain-lover. Who is utter, utter pants at answering emails. I tried to send round the peace-pipe of friendship (figuratively speaking); he seemed willing; then nothing. The anticipation of opening the inbox, and the concomitant irritation when I discover it empty, has added a certain piquancy to the whole business of checking the email.
And finally IV. NaNoWriMo. In honour of the month, and of the efforts of a bunch of peeps on my flist to get to 50,000 words by 30 Nov., I am taking a new look at the attempt I made to write a novel a couple of years ago. The thing ballooned to 80,000 words before fizzling out in the face of the End of Student Life. So, a salute to you, NaNo flisters, as we slog along together! ;-)
