Well, I was minding my own business, using pen and paper to describe what had been going on in my life on that fateful day so that I might remember it later (in about a week), when all of a sudden, I was approached by a cloaked figure who insisted that my shiny green spiral notebook just would not do. It was too private, too anti-social of me to keep my thoughts to myself. How could I be so selfish? Yet there was a way to share my daily life and constant ramblings with the ENTIRE WORLD. All I had to do was join the ranks of many who had found their liberation from private journal writing on *drumroll, please* LIVEJOURNAL! Though the most compelling reason this cloaked figure used to entice me to join, was that instead of actually interacting with my friends in person, I could just write whatever I wanted to tell them on LiveJournal, and not ever have to have a conversation in real life again! Not only that, but I wouldn't have to describe anything more than once. The most I would have to say to anyone would be: "just read my LJ."
How could I not be won over with such astounding persuasion?
P.S.-that cloaked figure later informed me that to enjoy such freedom, I had to give up my schoolwork, authentic social interaction, sleep, my first-born, my-otherwise-free time, and a lifetime supply of pixie stix and nerds.
