Honey, you are ever so right! Working parents only give you crap, they think stay-at-home parents are lazy and spend all day on the couch watching tv, or in the summer sunbathing, while every now and then, they give the kids some food. And if they have to handle their kids by themselves for a day, their stressed out and don't know what on earth to do with them.. I don't have kids myself yet, but I get the same kind of crap from the parents at work.. (I work with kids ages 0-4 for 5 days a week) who cry because their kids where a bit whiny for an hour or so, while we have a lot of them for about 4 or 5 days a week.. and not because their parents NEED to work, but because they want to drive that bigger car and buy those new expensive shoes. The only parents who really seem to like and want their kids, and never complain or are grumpy about their behaviour, are those who actually have no choice to work, because they need to be able to feed the kids. I don't feel bad about the kids being annoying at work, but that's because for me, it's at work..I get paid to take care of them, eventhough it's one the most underpaid jobs in the country.. Parents who work will never understand what you have to deal with 24/7.. they should try taking care of their kids for a month, without help.. perhaps then they'd start to understand.. (I have every intention of never becoming a working mom while my future kids are still young..not unless it's the only way to be able to feed them..)
