True, there are a lot of kids and pregnancies, which is a little strange since this has been a place of war for all this time...
I'm just a little disturbed that Amber admitted to Trudy that she was relieved when she heard Bray was dead. I bet she was, since she only cried for two days. But why would Trudy swallow that and approve of Amber's every move, when her best friend just got together with her boyfriend after they were in love with each other the whole time behind her back? Shouldn't she be a little more hestitant or critical towards Amber? Isn't she bitter at all? Whenever someone "stole" Bray from her, she was for ages... Not saying Amber should be judged here, just saying if it had been Sal/May instead of or with Trudy reassuring Amber, it would have been more logical.
I'd love to read more about Jet, Tai San and Bray, maybe to see their soft spots and the thoughts and doubts about them, considering they have any (you could say all people have, but I've just read a whole lot about Sarah palin... oh, never mind :))
Love that Ram still wants people to see his genius, even when he's confessing crimes, btw. Why does nobody put Jay on trial again?
Oh, btw I had the same problem with cuts. you have to mark some letters, hit the button for cut, type in your cut-text like "Chapter x". Then you can copy your chapter/fanart into the cut-area... the one that looks grey. At least that's my new method, there are probably others...
Trudy, Trudy. You would think she would be more bitter or even judgemental of Amber. And ya know, maybe deep down inside she is. But when it comes to Amber(at least after her Chosen debacle) Trudy has been like her wingman. She does everything in her power to support and validate Amber's actions, words, feelings.
I don't know if it's gratitude for helping deprogram her or what. Maybe it's due to her own shame for past actions and not wanting to rub anyone the wrong way. At least not someone who seems to always be in the right.
It's kinda like old men who've spent their whole lives being wrong. They shrink into themselves and stop talking. Just cause they're tired of being the asshole. LOL.
I was also thinking of how quickly Trudy forgave Amber and Jay as soon as she realized Mega used her. She was sincerely worried that she'd subconsciously hurt them in vengeance. And she didn't want to think that of herself.
She went out of her way to see them and tell them about the rescue plan. Me, I'd let Mega fry their brains. But deep down, I think Trudy wants to be a good person and has gotten used to being told to suck it up and take second best with a shit eating smile on her tragically beautiful face.
It just seemed like she would tell Amber that she was in the right, even if deep down she's thinking "You were happy he was dead?! Bitch!!!" I mean, if she can't keep a man, she has to keep the one friendship she's come to depend on after all this time. Otherwise, she'd be all alone. Which I think Trudy fears more than anything.
Jay again? LOL I thought I explained in my last post. To make a long story short:
1) Ram was the one with the vision therefore this whole thing is his fault. 2) Since many of the kids in the Radix never met Jay, they don't know his importance. He's just another butthole who did bad things under the orders of a bigger butthole. I don't think Fish would have any reason to tell them about Jay personally. Or Siva, Java, Ved, Wizard or Stats. Just the main guys in charge, Mega and Ram. Besides, by that time, Jay and Siva had helped bring Ram down, Java was no longer a threat and Ved had disappeared. 3) Not everyone thinks of the Technos the same. Some kids hate every Techno they meet. Others only had personal grudges against those that hurt them personally. And some just don't care anymore. The Technos are just one more group of crazies to screw up their lives and they've gotten used to it. And lastly, there are kids, like ex Chosen, who know what it's like to have followed the wrong guys and be persecuted for their actions. I mean, just think of the multiple reactions the Mallrats have towards the Technos. How many otherwise loyal Mallrats wound up in bed with a Techno? A Techno responsible for taking away someone they loved? People are flighty. that's all I can say :)
As for the pregnancies and babies... when has wartime ever stopped people from jumping in the sack? With all the tribal bedhopping and dwindling supply of protection, I'm surprised there weren't more pregnancies. Besides, babies existed before the virus and certainly before the Technos arrived. They didn't disappear just because times got rough. And I can't imagine that every single person the Technos took away was alone or just some single kid with no connections. If they grabbed me and I was holding my child or younger sibling, well they would taking the both of us. Don't forget all the kids who volunteered to give themselves up. Yeah, they prob'ly didn't want pregnant moms, babies or small children but in some cases it probably couldn't be helped.
Oh I'm sorry, there must have been some misunderstanding. Alice's twins are just baby babies. They're barely crawling. The scene where the mallrats are watching the kids running around, Alice's boys are there but they're most likely either strapped on someone's back or lying on a blanket drooling. The children who are running around are Brady, a little boy named Nathan and perhaps a couple other young children. I imagine Alice got pregnant a month or two before Ned's death. The timeline at the end of season 3 is complicated and hurts my head to think about. I mean, Amber's pregnancy progresses from second trimester to third in only a matter of 3 episodes.
