Today I found Crystal Palace Creme on an absolutely fantastic sale (side note, for anyone interested, Little Knits has it for $37.60 for 10 skeins). I ended up buying two bags. It's a 60% wool, 40% silk yarn. I would like to make a highly cabled cardigan with it. Though I will definitely swatch first, I'm wondering if anyone has personal experience with a similar yarn fiber content and cables. How did the cables look after wearing? Is this possibly just a truly horrible idea?
I am currently leaning towards either the
Central Park Hoodie or
Knitty's Mariah. That said, I do not wear hoods and would prefer a cardigan without a hood. Additionally, zippers and I do not do well together. While I could certainly modify either/both patterns to have a collar and button band, is anyone aware of similar patterns which would not require modification?
THANK YOU!
