Okay, can I just say my troupe KICKS ASS? Not only are the women I have the pleasure of dancing with dedicated, motivated, organized, responsible and talented, they are also super fun, friendly, thoughtful, and totally groovy. I love that of the directors, we each have our special talents and strengths that meld well to create our collective vision together (R, your outline sheets tonight were *SO* what my Virgo loves you for). I love that of the other dancers, they are open to new ideas and challenges, while still being actively involved and always thinking of ways to improve themselves and the group (wow, that sounded kind of like a line on a resume or a review. LOL)
Tonight's rehearsal was much fun. It is amazing to see my choreography come together! It has been a LONG time since any choreography came out of me, and even longer since I have gotten to see a group perform it. So seeing the details, the costumes, the overall effect come together was really rewarding for me tonight. Then add to that the improv stuff we have been working on and tweaking, and overall...jeezus, it is hard to believe we have only had this group together for a little over two months.
Intermediate classes will begin in July. I am hearing a lot of interest in it in general. I can't wait, and I can at the same time. I really want to start sharing more, and dancing more for myself. At the same time, it is yet another time commitment. Whew! What happens when I certify Int II?! If I don't have a studio in the works by then, it will be rediculous. I won't be able to find space to accomodate my classes. Since my class sizes continue to slowly grow, I will need to break off some more time somewhere. I wonder how a daytime class would do...
