Ryan's Tribe Week Skip-Willow's Journal
Day 10 - Macy is missing still. It was a typical quiet day at the Eco camp today.
Day 11 - Macy arrived at the Eco camp this morning. We took a vote on the news that Ryan wants us to come to the Mall: We All Agreed. Kerry informed the Council of Elders of our move to the city, and despite our original protests, we agreed to let them ask a fellow Tribe of Eco's, the Gaians, for an escort to the City. I hope whoever they are that they are nice, and won't ask a lot of questions.
Day 12 - Today was a quiet day at the Eco camp, packing for the trip to the City and waiting for word back from one of the Eco messengers on whether or not we're getting an escort to the City. We all feel quite confident in Macy's ability to escort us and Kerry's ability to lead, but we also know Ryan left the Eco's in charge of our well being and they only want us to be safe, so we continue to prepare for the trip and wait for our escort. I hope they send a female guide, I don't understand my feelings about that, but that is my secret wish.
Day 13 - We took a vote this morning and decided to leave tomorrow morning if no escort arrives by nightfall tonight. We are getting antsy waiting to leave, we miss Ryan, we are anxious to see him again, he's like a father to so many of us, or a big brother, it's been hard to be apart. I'm nervous about the city, I think most of us are, except for Macy, and the waiting is hard on all of us. Today was our last day with the Eco Tribe, they have been very good to us, and most of us spent time with our favorite Eco's, doing what we love best, as well as making sure we are all packed up. Some of us talked of returning to the house to grab a few things, but we ultimately decided against it. Night has fallen, and we were prepared to sneak out early tomorrow morning, but our escort arrived a short while ago, and it's a woman named Danni. We found out some interesting information after talking to her; she knew Ryan a long time ago, and we are all relieved and much more comfortable with the fact that she's a friend of his. The look on her face when we told her that we are Ryan's Tribe, and that he has asked us to come to the Mall was, well I can't describe it, but it was interesting. We didn't answer a lot of her questions, but she didn't pry either, which looks good for tomorrow. I'm so excited, we are finally going to leave to see Ryan!
Day 14 - Woke up late today, shared one last meal with the Eco's before gathering our things. The Eco's were very gracious as they shared some food with us for our journey, and gave us some amulets to remember them. We said goodbye and left in the early afternoon. The trip through the woods was fairly quiet and quick paced, we had light conversation, played around, we're all very excited, even Macy, I can tell. We found a clearing after night fell and decided to set up camp. Danni is very intelligent, she started a campfire and after pestering her for information, she taught me a few things about law and order, which seems to be a passion of hers. Danni is really nice, it will be nice to know someone other than Ryan at this "Mall". I tried to ask her about the Mall but it was late, and we need sleep.
Day 15 - We woke up early today, ate a light breakfast, gathered our things, cleaned up our camp and left. The walk through the woods today was less rambunctious, we are tired and nervous, it is a long trip. Kerry carried Flower for a while, which helped us move a bit faster, she's small and it was a strain on her I think to have to walk so fast so far. Anna and I had a hard time keeping the fast pace as well, but we managed. Still, moving was slow and steady, and when we reached a clearing, Danni told us we are almost to the edge of the city. Night was falling and she suggested we set up camp here, as it's still quite a walk from the edge of the city to the Mall itself. We ate dinner and chatted about the Mall, asking Danni all kinds of questions, who would we find there (she's not certain), who was their leader (not certain), was it a nice place to stay (usually), it all sounds very mysterious to me, but to be fair, she has been away from her Tribe for a while. If Danni is as she says she is about Law and Order and Governing, then her Tribe can't be bad. Right? We're chatting excitedly about tomorrow now, I doubt any of us will sleep, but tomorrow is a big day, so we really must try.
