I'm Tony Sinclair. Ready to Tanqueray?
This commercial has driven me crazy for MONTHS. Who is this man.. this... socialite swinger? Is he new money? Did he win the lottery and buy out Tanqueray? Did he in fact create Tanqueray? Is he a world-class jet-setter that has a penchant for green velvet and dirty martinis? WHO IS HE????
Well... today I got a wild hair up my ass and looked him up. I skipped tanqueray.com because obviously they would keep up the jet-setter facade, and I found some guy that was plagued by the commercials as much as I was. Apparently, the company that owns Tanqueray found an obnoxious black british actor who can put on airs. Man did they have me fooled. I was totally convinced that Tony Sinclair was someoen I should have known of. I felt out of the loop, and yes.... ALMOST went out and bought some Tanqueray. I DON'T EVEN LIKE GIN! Damn.. I call that good marketing. The Budweiser donkey was adorable.. but I never had an urge to go out and buy that bottled piss. Dear god I'm a consumer (weeping)
Well on a completely different note, I went to dell.com and looked up my laptop to see if it was past the testing phase.. Apparently it was shipped early this morning from Patrick, NV... 600 miles away... Should be here in a couple days... YAY... I'll let you guys know how fantabulous it is when it gets here.
