Sammy:His Room

Apr 26, 2005 00:20

Sammy sat alone in the extra cafe. His fork was suspended in midair and the food on it forgotten. Tai-San's scream rattled him from his thoughts and inadvertantly tossed him back into The Game. The sound rolled around in his thoughts and Sammy couldn't even begin to wonder at why a scream would bring The Game rushing back. Shaking his head, he noticed that Kerry had gotten up and left. How long had he been sitting her by himself? Sammy's shaking hand set the food laden fork back onto his plate. He was feeling sick and tired. There was still a little food left on his plate, but he couldn't stomach it. Standing up, he walked in to see Patsy, Kerry, Trudy and Dee working around to get things straightened. Leaving his plate, he nodded a hello and kept his head hung down.

Without seeing anything, Sammy walked down the stairs and towards his room. His head felt stuffy and heavy. Shaking his head, he wandered into his room. It was nice and dark. Sammy just wanted to sleep and forget the day. It'd been far to active for his liking. He began to tug off his wedding clothes. The belt got stuck and Sammy had to tug at it. The clasp finally opened and he flung it, with the rest of the clothes, onto the floor in a pile. The poliet thing would be to pick them up, hang them up. But Sammy was tired and he could feel a headache coming on.

He dragged his hands through his hair and sighed. The comic book still lying on his bed was tossed carelessly aside. The Game was back in his thoughts and he knew it was dangerous to think about. It wasn't an option anymore, and he just had to work through that. Throwing himself onto his bed, he pulled up his covers and lay there, staring blankly at the ceiling. After tossing and turning for a long time, Sammy finally fell into a light sleep.
