I find it worthy of note that, in terms of citizenship and birthplace, I am 100% Japanese.

I don't care. Your name isn't Japanese.

So ones name determines ones nationality? Interesting.

Oi, don't spam someone's journal with useless blabberin'.

... Ya goin' on the trip tomorrow?

Of course. Aizen-sensei requested my presence.

Che. Whatever.
What the fuck do people wear when hikin'? If you're goin' to waste time in here be useful and help a guy out.

Long or short? I can see the logic in both.

That depends entirely on the area to be hiked. A cleared trail favors shorts, to mitigate heat, whereas hiking through the untamed wild would really require long pants, as the scratching of the underbrush is a bit of an irritant. Short sleeves are preferable either way.

Short. Okay. So I got the shirt picked out... what about pants? That's why I said I could see reasons for both. So tomorrow will require... long or short?

As I said, it depends on the trail. I've no experience with hiking in this area, so I intended to wear long pants.

Ah! Okay! So ya talked to Aizen-sensei? Do ya know how long it'll be and if we'll have to bring food or trunks or bug spray or any of that hikin'/onsen shit?

I betcha anythin' he'll dump a shitload of homework on us just as things get good tomorrow.

I have, and I lack an idea of what he expects us to bring. I intend to apply insect repellant before I leave, and bring only a towel, and perhaps food. Why would one require a trunk? Even should we bring all you stated, it would not be so much.

Trunks. Trunks. Swim gear.
Are we expected to go commando? I know this is an onsen, but it's a school onsen. Don't schools have rules for that?

One is expected to wear a towel. I have never heard of an onsen where one bathes clothed. Do you think this is a swimming pool?

No. That's why I was double checkin'!

Boys, boys: you're both manly.

As for the hiking, I don't believe the path I'm taking you on is overgrown, so shorts would be appropriate, unless you would wear long pants to protect yourself against skinned knees on the rocks. I've made arrangements for our lunch; just bring a small knapsack for this and your towel.

Maybe, but I'm more so.

Shorts! Great! Food! Even greater! Do we really have to wait until 10 to leave? Can we go at the crack of dawn? How late are we goin' to be? Can we stay out all day? All night?
