Mouse continued to stomp even when she got into her own room. It just wasn't fair! Salene said things would be okay and it had seemed at first she was right, but lunch had messed things up. "Can I have something from Market?" She imitated Flower frowning. "Who does she think she is? Dozey." She went to her toy bin that she had messed up

Cloe heard the sound of toys thumping to the ground. Oh Mouse. She was obviously upet. She stood by the door frame and knocked on the wall. "Mind if we talk Mouse? You seem pretty upset. And you know you can always talk to me." SHe walked a little farther into the room and looked at the toy box. Empty with all the toys everywhere. "What are you doing?" She asked almost amused. "Looks like Hurricane Mouse!" She gave her a big smile and then rushed into her room and scooped her into her arms, making wooshing noises. "AHHH! HURICANE MOUSE!" she yelled and then plopped Mouise onto the bed on her back, her hand ready to tickle her. "So, what's wrong?"

Mouse didn't say much when Cloe entered even as Cloe obviously was trying to make her laugh. She just wasn't in the mood. She frowned. "It's those kids! Salene and Ryan are going to market and they said good bye to..." She waved her hand towards the door. "What's their names, but not me! I don't think they care anymore..."

Cloe sighed. She knew it had someting to do with Ryan's tribe. "Hey now. It's alright." She pulled her onto her lap and gave her a big cuddle. "You wanna know something? I felt the same way when you and Charlie first came here. I was jealous. Salene spent all of her time with you and it felt like the only time she ever talked to me was to ask for something. I knew that you wouldn't leave, Salene wouldn't let you. Like Ryan won't let his kids leave. I know it will take some time adjusting, but you know you still have your other friends. Like Brady and Patsy and Me and Sammy. And if you want, I'll talk to Salene for you, I needed to talk to her anyway." She stroked her hair. "Just say the word and I will help you. I'm like your sister Mouse, I love you." She held her closer, almost feeling like she was going to cry.

Mouse pouted. "I'm sorry I made you feel that way. I didn't mean it!" At first she was worried Cloe was going to be mad at her and then tried to think how what she was saying matched up with what she was feeling. "And I've talked with Salene. I thought it was going to be okay, but they just seem to take over the Mall. All cozy and everything. And that one girl is such a snob." She stuck out her lower jaw then twisted her mouth. When Cloe pulled her into a hug she hugged her back trying to make them both feel better.

"Shhhh. It's okay Mouse. It's part of growing up. You can't always be in the spotlight, though I tried very hard." She gave her a wink. "Do you want me to talk to her? To tell her how you really feel? And Mouse, you shouldn't say people are snobs, even if it is true." She squeezed her tight and then pulled away and pinched her cheek. "If you're feeling better, maybe we could work on reading? Or do something else? YOu and me? Or anyone else you want to play with. It will be fun. A MallRat time, for us."

"Why do people make up words like Dozey or Snob and then we get told NOT to use them?" Mouse thought this was weird logic. Of course you were supposed to use these words or they wouldn't have been invented! "Salene already knows how I feel. We talked for a long time. And sure we can do something. Like maybe you can help me put my toy box back together." She gave a semi sorry glance to the toys scattered around the room.

"Because sometimes we make fun of people we love, just to laugh. And they laugh too. You can use them, but make sure it isn't too mean. No one likes it when people are mean." She tweaked her nose and gave her a little tickle. "Well, Salene understands. She always does. So don't worry. And I will help you put away your toys and then maybe we can go look for Brady? I'm sure she'll be up soon. And Patsy, you and me and Brady and Bray could go to the play park and have some fun, ya?" She put Mouse on the bed and began to pick up the toys and put them into the box.

Mouse jumped down from the bed to help Cloe pick up the toys. It went a lot quicker with two people and they fixed it so the lid actually closed. "The play park sounds fun! But Cloe there are some really bad people out there. We have to be careful. I don't want any of you getting hurt, okay?"

Cloe helped Mouse pick up the toys in no time at all. She sounded excited about the Play Park. "Don't worry, maybe we could bring someone with us, just to keep us Safe, if that makes you feel better." Cloe smiled, Mouse sounded like the adult, not wanting anyone to get hurt. "Don't worry we'll be alright. Should we go find Patsy and see if Brady's awake?"

Mouse was quite satisfied with the newly picked up room and nodded her agreement at finding Patsy and Brady. "Sure. Let's go. But who would really want to go with us to the play park? And can't you and Patsy keep us safe?" Mouse wasn't sure about all this. She knew in one way Cloe and Patsy were still young, but then again they went out a lot of times without any one. Especially Cloe.

"Ya, we'll be alright by ourselves. Patsy and I will prtect you. Don't worry." She gave her a wink and took her by the hand and headed towards Patsy's room.
