HereAs Ellie walked away from Jack's room, the tears just kept coming. She wanted to find Alice, to confide in her sister all the pain that was in her right now. But Ellie hadn't seen her sister all day, and in her present state, she wasn't about to go looking for her either. All she could hope for is that her sister turned up soon

"That's wrong of them to do to you," she said softly, "What happened Ellie? When you left here, when the Technos took you away, you were so in love with Jack you were willing to blow up Ebony because you thought she'd lost Jack for you for good. Remember?" Salene was trying to rationalize things, and Luke had left Ellie, abandoned her, where as Jack had always been here, except when he was taken away, but sometimes matters of the heart didn't make sense, and couldn't be rationalized, and Ellie would have to listen to what her heart was telling her.
"It's unfair of them to treat you that way, how can you make any choices when they're giving you the cold shoulder? That would make me decide not to choose either," she said in a heated hushed voice. She pulled back and looked Ellie in the face, wiping the tears away, "Don't let them get away with this, silly stupid boys," she frowned but quickly straighted into a soft look. "They're just confused, both of them, and they don't want to fight because of, well that's probably my fault for yelling at them, but fist fights never prove anything," she smirked, however, "nor do pasta fights," and gave a small chuckle, trying to get Ellie to cheer up, just a little bit, and to see that it wasn't that bad, not really, it was just two boys being incredibly stupid and selfish.

"I don't know if I'll be able to choose, Salene. Your right, I was ready to do anything to get Jack back when he was taken. But I had just lost Alice, and Luke had left, and I just couldn't handle another loss." She looked down, and paused for a moment, trying to find the right words. "I know I've loved Jack longer, and that he is - was my best friend, but there's something about Luke that I just can't ignore. Even after he left, I couldn't help but still have feelings for him..."
Unsure of what to say next, Ellie started to fidget in her seat. "Salene, thanks again for siding with me. It feels good to know that at least one person is behind me. If you don't mind, I think I'm gonna head to my room and just clear my head, try to get a new perspective on all this."

"Sure, but don't brood for too long, it'll only do your head in. If you need to talk to someone, I'm here for you Ellie, remember that, always," Salene gave her an extra hug and pulled back, standing up, "I have to get dinner started, if you want to come chat in a while, dinner should be ready in half an hour or so," she offered softly before turning and heading for the stairs.
Patsy was playing with Braby in the fountain, and she'd seen Trudy come and collect Brady who seemed really upset that her knee was skinned at the park. Mouse ran over to Salene as she ascended the stairs and began explaining everything, including something to do with a TGun that Brady found on the ground. Salene picked her up and easily swung her onto her hip, heading upstairs.
