Hi, all. Sign ups for invited participants have now ended, so here's our current team roster. As you can see, we still have plenty of room left, plus we'll be reserving two slots per team for new participants.
That's your choice, if you'd prefer that people not use the comm. I'll change the post to reflect that. It wasn't a matter of anyone being "good enough" to invite back, but I'm sorry you feel that way.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop out also. I'm currently involved with several other big projects including the Quidditch Pitch so unfortunately I don't feel confident I could make any deadlines.
how many are people are going to be included after the lottery. There were what about 15 people for each team last year? I am not a writer, but I did enjoy reading the stories last year. But this year having special invites and many wonderful people being excluded seems very elitist. Are there only two lottery spots on the gen team are you going to 15 on each team?
We did not intend to be elitist in the slightest and we are deeply regretful and apologetic that it appeared that way to some people. Lesson learned and all that.
As for teams, each team will have the same number of people total. At this time, we want to wait to see how the sign-ups go before determining how many total will be on each team. I hope that answers your question!
well if you don't want to be elitist, and don't have a number in mind for how many will be on each team, why don't you invite everyone who participated last year.
We already explained how and why we did the inviting this year. We will remedy this for next year, lesson learned. It would not be appropriate to do so for the current fest (as it will undoubtedly open up yet another bag of worms despite good intentions), though everyone is of course welcome to their own opinions. Thank you for your suggestion, however.

I'm starting a new job in late March, and simply won't have the time to write for a fest with deadlines.
