Anger at Stupidity
God, I hate when characters have to act dumb to move the story along. Just finished The World is Not Enough and if Bond had shot Reynard in the gut rather than the head from the start, the character would have been legitimately unable to continue living even if he had no sensation of pain. Gut wounds bleed out and quickly kill. GRRRRR. Or even if shot in the gut, the bleeding could have been stopped by Reynard but then Bond would at least not come off as just a fecking idiot.
