Today my dog has gone in for a tibeal plateau leveling osteotomy to repair her anterior cruciate ligament in her left hind leg.

I am glad that we are finally having it done, as she has been limpy gimpy since the last week of november. I was worried that it might have been hip dysplasia, but it seems to be repairable. I know that Ryan and Juan are both dealing with hip dysplasia with thier loved ones, and I wish them the best in helping treatment.

Holy carp TPLO surgery is expensive, sure is a fast way to get rid of 2500$

It also is going to cause me to hold off on putting some plans together, as it will fall to me to look after her during recovery time.

My goal for the year is to reestablish my own independance, which combined with my set of skills and faults, which already make things difficult, combined with the economy, might make things hard to do. Independance is easy really, but wasted with no valid plan, or with survival the only goal.

I sure am glad that most of the big events are out of the way, this whole time of thanksgiving, christmas, new years, presidential inaugeration and the superbowl. Im guessing the next few months might be a bit calmer? Late winter and spring has always been a relief.
