Who: Mello, Near
Where: The sign at the edge of town.
Summary: Mello retrieving Near.
Rating: Well start with PG-13 in case of Mello's mouth.
Near remained where he was huddled close to the sign, remaining in the faint light they casted off as the fog continued to roll in. With what he had on Near was cold, but without knowing where to go or even where he was there was little that he could do. Despite all that he done, Near had never traveled alone or had to handle mundane things. Picking up the figures he thought about what he had managed to find out. Mello was here, as was Matt; however both had died three years prior. Mello had also mentioned the fact that L was here, who had died nine years prior at the hands of Kira. Mello has said that he worked with L and quit which puzzled Near. That was what both of them had lived to do, to become L's successor. Though Near had never actually met L, it was the one person that Near idolized. As he watched the device, the information ran through his head being stored and sorted through; filed away for later importance.
When Mello found him Near would likely look slightly different than he recalled. Over the three years since the end of the Kira case he had grown only slightly, though he was thinner and his hair was now longer than it had been. Also, unknown to Near, there was a small figure that lied just outside of he light; a small doll resembling Near exactly putting together a puzzle.
