Because the sheriff said he could be there in only ten minutes, Armand hurried. He stomped the snow off his boots and straightened his clothes, trying not to fret over how shabby they were getting. Clothes were the least of his worries right now. He had been fretting about that phone call all yesterday and most of today. He didn't like the idea of Wesker pulling strings like that but he had no proof at all that he wasn't. And there was really nothing much for it except to ask.
He paused to catch his breath outside the sheriff's office door, then knocked. Firmly.
"Sheriff? Tis St. Just to see you."
