Who: Karasu bitty. OPEN Where: Outside of Genesis and Angeal's. Maybe farther When: Now Summary: Bored crow is bored and looking for something to do Rating: TBA?
Avari was grumbling. Not so much because of the cold or the snow which seemed impossibly deeper for the squat elf, but largely for the simple face that the chill was bothering her knee. And when that happened, the elf was nothing more than a crotchety bag of bones and curses. She'd yanked her thick but ragged cape close around her and pulled the hood up against the wind.
She'd been checking traps all morning, annoyed that some predator or other had beaten her to her only catch. More to gripe about.
Trudging on down the street as she was, she almost missed the little bundle of black, and paused when she recognized him, tipping up her head to speak up. She was still a good ways behind him, enough that she probably had to shout to get attention.
"Hey there, what are you doing out in this cold, little Mister?"
"Hey there, what are you doing out in this cold, little Mister?"
Immediately, that little form froze, caught in the act of his mischief (even if he hadn't gotten up to any yet). Clutching one of the larger crows in his arms he made his way towards the elf. He' been caught, after all. Better not to try and flee through the snow. Knowing him, he'd fall headfirst in it by tripping over his too-long hair that hadn't been braided that morning.
"I wanted to play. Angeal and Genesis and the big crow demon were busy or something. So I left to play." he said as he trotted closer, almost tripping once, huffing softly at his own clumsiness. Certainly, he wasn't quite the graceful man he would be one day.
Thank the fates he hadn't run. The elf couldn't claim to have known Karasu very well when he'd been full grown, as she'd only really met him just outside the Shadow Temple, and falling into a person didn't exactly entail a thorough knowledge of their character. Nevertheless, the man must have been a singularly well behaved child. Or at least it appeared that way to her. She supposed Braedan hadn't been the best example
( ... )
Karasu trusted Avari enough to know she was a friend. The crows were a secret weapon of his, though. The told him about people, even if it was only in their way, and Karasu knew Avari to be trustworthy. After all, Angeal had left him with her and she'd been nice.
Trotting closer, he pushed his long hair over his shoulder and out of his face, offering her a sweet smile that was thoroughly laced with impish amusement at her ideas.
"I could throw snowballs at just about anybody. Or make a snow crow...but that isn't very much fun alone either." he confided, balancing the bird he held in one arm, the other twining in his long hair thoughtfully.
"...Would you play with me? We could find someone and throw snow at them!"
