Who: Uchiha Itachi & Kyuubi no Yoko
Where: Near the graveyard.
When: May 18th.
Summary: Itachi has some questions. Kyuubi may have an answer to two.
Rating: PG? Ish.
On hindsight Kyuubi supposed it had been too much to hope that Itachi had been gone for good. Despite whatever desire the man may have held for death elsewhere and his disappearance in this place, he still had an alarming penchant for simply not-staying-dead.
On another it would have been downright annoying.
On Itachi-
No. It was still downright annoying.
Elsewhere, Uchiha Itachi had a hand in killing Kyuubi no Yoko once. Elsewhere Kyuubi had pulled out the man’s liver with clawed fingers once, cooking it with his chakra while making sure Itachi watched. Elsewhere Itachi had not put up all that much of a fight.
Kyuubi knew this Itachi would be different. Naruto had noticed and so too did he. This Itachi would not take a walk with the fox in the rain; allow him to examine hands still scarred from carving wordless screams at faceless walls-
No. This was not that man but Kyuubi knew he could probably die just as well as the other could, which was why he liked the venue Itachi had chosen.
Fitting. The dead and should-be-dead.
He neared the graveyard at an easy walk, no hurry to his steps, no attempt to mask their sound. He wore black in contrast to Naruto’s orange, hitai-ate long discarded. He carried no human weapons- he had his hands, he had his chakra, he had trust in both.
He kept an eye out for Itachi on his approach. There had been no designated time, so Kyuubi did not think he was late. But he had not hurried to this meeting either.
He was not here to fight though. Not persae. Not yet. He would listen first at least.
