People. People were talking to her which meant her post went though. First Roxas, then Alex. A shame there wasn’t more to say. Where was she? A warehouse. Somewhere in the back of the city (she figured) but you could only help so much when you’d only seen the ceiling.
I’ll be right there.
He was coming. Alex was coming to get her and she had let the hounds loose on Alfred. Everything would be ok.
The woman sighed with relief and groped for her clothes, numb fingers pulling at the knotted fabric. Normally, Claire was the type to buck up and drag herself back home, but her head hurt too bad and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. She had to go outside so he could find her, but there was no way in hell that she would go out into the cold in her underwear. Pants were easy enough, and her shoes were near by (Knife tucked safely back inside of her boot). Her turtleneck on the other hand had to go over her head and that wasn’t something she was willing to undertake at the moment. It was instead tied around her hips so it wouldn’t have to be left behind.
Claire tugged her jacket on and groaned, pulling herself to her feet. Blurry eyes looked for the door through lowered lashes. It was on the other side of the building. Talking had kept her coherent and her mind was slowly clearing. Ok. She could do this. Step by step, hand using the wall for support, she made her way out into the cold. The temperature drop brought a shiver over her sloppily covered body (zippers were a little too advanced for her at the moment) but it made her numb. Numbness was better than pain any day. The sun was starting to set behind her, casting everything in a murky hue. Rough brick under her fingers, snow under her feet-tap-tap-tap-- as she made her way to a main street.
