Rating: TBA?

It wasn't easy getting Zack's key. The blasted doll kept to Zack's rooms, which were in the housing block protected by Zelda and Impa's magic. It was only thanks to Link proper (or, more accurately, Link proper's Triforce, which blazed and burned, itched and hurt, on the back of the shade's hand), that he knew the rare occasion when they were taken down. Maintenance. Renewing. Harder still was getting it without getting himself noticed. He wasn't entirely certain he hadn't been.

After that, well, it was easy enough to pluck the little sword from its hands and rip out its glassy, hairy little heart and reveal the key. True, ripping the limbs and tail off first was entirely unnecessary, but watching it writhe had made him grin. As Link liked Zack, his inverse couldn't stand him, just in the same way that as Link respected Konan, his shade was offensive and hurtful.

He bounced the tarnished silver in his palm, wondering if he could develop that knack for twisting it off while in the door. Impa and Sheik were missing, and, with a flare of panic, he was sure he knew where and what for. They had hardly made it secret. Deep down, for all his arrogance and pride, he knew he couldn't take on the two Sheikah. Even deeper down, Courage which flared in Link gave the darker self nothing but fear.

It was only fair he got to do this.

His head pounded as he waited for Zack to show up, but he did his best not to show it. Now, if only he could remain nonchalantly standing close to the police station and then get in with Zack, things would be dandy.
