Suffering is an essential part of life. Without challenges there would be nothing to make us seek something better. If suffering did not seperate the strong from the weak, there would be nowhere to go but down. If fires and storms never destroyed the land, then stronger things couldn't take their place.
If there wasn't a need to drive away creatures that wanted to kill us, and to keep away the cold, we would have had no need for fire. If mankind hadn't fought the two world wars, our race would not have gained all the new technologies of the last 100 years.
If Jesus never suffered so many years ago, Christianity would have just been another cult. Without suffering Buddah wouldn't have had his revelations.
Without suffering, the news wouldn't be worth watching
