Look up at the moon tonight, it is full and seems to shine brighter than any star. From here it seems to rule the sky. But in fact, each star that seems to shine so small here is stronger than a thousand moons. And even this moon is just a reflection of what little energy it can gain from our star. You must never be blinded by what seems to shine strongest right in front of you.
I hate the sun, I actualy can't leave the house without it putting boils on my skin. It is a huge relief to just be outside when the sun goes down. Any heat is horrible, I hear in Russia they have winters that last 11 months. That sounds wonderful.
I havn't listened to korn in awhile, but I still love their middle career music. I was looking foreward to hearing their new cd, but I am still hearing a lot of things that are making me think this one will suck. They seemed to rush its completion to start their European tour, they cut the guitar solo's, and I heard some lyrics from their song Called Hypocrite. I only read the four lines that were floating around the Korn board, and they were very lame. I was hoping they were wrong until I heard a clip of them playing that song live.
Still, I liked their other new song Twisted Transistor... Until I heard a fan called Lithium Dawn do a cover that is better than the version I heard from Korn. And that song isn't even out into a video yet. So far it doesn't look too good for this album. The band say's it is their best work, but they also said that about their last two cd's.
I saw an incredible play on Wednesday called 'The Silken Phoenex' it had an asian girl that was in rent, and she did a solo story of the life of an asian poet. While she did this, there was a bass player, a pianist, and a man playing at least 9 chinese instuments at once behind her. I was excited to meet her after the show, but she didn't come out. Its a shame there was such a small crowd there, but they were all beautiful. It's so sad that art like that isn't appreciated like it should be. Too many people today are hooked on the typical holywood teen love stories that come out every month. I think people are so used to seeing things like that now, they can't really appreicate something of any higher quality. It has become so muddled that real quality seems fake.
