On Fire
Yesterday was amazing! The classes went really well. We were invited to go to anohter school in the area. I was in 4 out of the 5 classes out of the day... 2 at Keiper and 2 at Hutton (sp?). The second class really responded well to the straw presentation and asked some really good questions. One of them connected one of the things i talked about (Love and waiting to have sex and not having a relationship with someone just to get what you want) and asked "are you guys Christians just to get what you want from God?" I responded with telling the person that we can pray and ask God for anything, but if he knows that its not good for us... than he won't give it to us, but if it is good for us and will bring glory to him, then he will give it to us. Another kid asked what happens if we mess up again after we accept the gift of God. It was so nice to see them actually ask meaningful questions! Thank you God! I felt reenergized after that. We could just feel the Holy Spirit moving amongst us!
We ate lunch at the teachers lounge. It was kinda cool... the food was okay... but it would have been nice to have more... o well! I ran out of snacks after about the 4th day... i knew i should have packed more! Then Christine and a few other people went out and swang danced for people, and used that to invite other people to the shin-dig on friday at the church here. I think that may actually attract a lot of people. Me and Katie, Christine and Carson, and a few other people are going to give swing dancing lessons... YES!
The McDonalds here ROCK MY SOCKS OFF! They have these awesome toasted subs... we really need some in America! They would go over so well... i just know it! They also have a new McFlurry too,.. but i didn't have that.
We just got back from the school today. The class went okay... not to good though... maybe it was because it was their first class. Today we are gonig to play soccor against some people (hopefully) and do a little bit of site seeing.
