i hate being in an argument and having the other party have no retort other than, "You always think you're right!"
um . . . . of course i do?
who the kcuf in their right (no pun intended) mind would walk around all day saying, "you know, just for fun, today i think i'm going to be wrong. i'm going to be wrong all day. even if i know information to be false or a point of view to be unjust, i will support it in my effort to be totally, completely and utterly wrong!"
NO ONE! THAT'S KCUFING WHO!
EVERYONE wants to be right! of course you think you're right or you wouldn't think that way!
If a logical person were to find evidence they were wrong, they would adjust their ideas or beliefs to reflect that they had just learned something.
The moral of the story is this: Rather than get frustrated that you are losing an argument and resorting to some general blanket statement that has nothing to do with what we were originally debating, PROVE ME WRONG!
give me evidence that i was incorrect. or lay out your case reasonably so that i may better see your point of view.
chances are, you just might sway me to your way of seeing things.
but if you're just going to sit there and tell me i "always think i'm always right", i'll say, "thanks, and have a nice day."
because i AM always right. or at least i think so. :)
