Oh look, parents are special!
A couple in Hawaii stole $5 worth of sandwiches from a store. The woman was pregnant and hungry so she ate a sandwich while she shopped and then the couple forgot to pay for the sandwiches when they left the store. They were caught and arrested. Unfortunately, they had their daughter with them and had just moved to Hawaii so they didn't have anyone to leave their child with. So since both parents were being arrested, child services took the kid for the night. The parents posted bail and got their kid back.
Since the store was still treating the couple like normal people instead of the kind of *special* people like they, as parents, clearly are, the parents went to the media and boo-hooed their way into getting Safeway to drop the charges.
What the fuck is this shit? Because people have kids they can't steal? What happened to taking responsibility for your actions? What happened to everyone getting treated the same? What happened to having to deal with the court system like everyone else has to?
These people are horrible human beings. I can see that their crotch spawn are going to be entitled little assholes when they grow up, just like their parents.
