So I went to a pub crawl yesterday, it was a lot of fun and I generally had a good time. However, when we'd arrived at the second stop of the night, everyone else was kinda trailing behind and a few of us went out ahead to the patio (inside was full) and sat down. I didn't really know the guy I sat down next to, but we chatted a bit, he might have offered to buy me my next drink, but I was rather drunk and just like "oh yeah, I guess I should get up to get another one" when he mentioned our mutual lack of beverages and that he'd get me one if I wanted. So we drank those and he took off for the bathroom and the girls organizing the pub crawl suggested we move onto our next destination, but I suggested that we should wait for the guy I'd been talking to (since it's rather rude to take off on someone in your group when they're in the bathroom, I think) and the one girl said that he knew where we were going next so I shouldn't worry. When we got to the next stop the same girl who thought it was a good idea to take off with some members of our group in the bathroom approached me and asked if I liked talking to her ex. I was like "...who?" apparently the guy who'd offered to buy me a drink at the other bar was her (very recent) ex. I might have apologized (because she seemed mad at me) but then she told me "that's ok, you didn't know."
Now, while I can understand being jealous of one's ex a bit (well, not really, but it seems to make more sense), it seems unreasonable to get mad at a third party who just happens to talk to someone one has just ended a relationship with. Especially when this third party hardly knows either person involved in the breakup (I'd met this girl twice before and still can't remember her name, the only reason I remember the guy's name is because I have a cousin of the same name) and especially when this third party isn't even hitting on the ex in question and is just being a sociable drunk (I have enough problems with boys right now to want to hit on some new ones).
Oh, also I found a delicious gin. I'm generally not a big fan of gin, but this stuff is quite yummy. It's called Hendrick's and it's a cucumber gin.
