tears in the rain,
rainclouds tearing their way down from heaven.
concrete tears
broken tears
elephant tears
tears ripped from silk dreams
tears smearing ink on the torn pages
of a dry-eyed and hollow poem
i tell you what.
someday i will vomit tears
