Obama is listening to the Right Wing, do you honestly think that if he wasn't he would be having any real problems within his own party..
Now, I want to be clear I don't think that means he is agreeing with everything they say. He's listening, not just blindly agreeing, thankfully he's not that weak willed.
He actually is willing to compromise, look at how much the health bill has changed since it has been through both the House and the Senate. It barely resembles the original plan at all, and doesn't have a major sticking point for most Democrats that they actually want in it, the Public Option.
Your are right Democrats aren't in full agreement with him anymore, simply because the bill as it stands will do more harm than good because it takes out the parts that actually help regular people and only help the Insurance Companies.
And that's all because Obama is willing to compromise in order to just get the bill passed. Any bill! Passed so as to make it seem like a political victory. Instead of sticking to his guns like he should be doing.
I never said the system was corrupted only because of the Republicans. I just find them more despicable in general than the Democrats, but that's because of two reasons.
#1 I don't agree with them on an incredible amount of social issues.
#2 They constantly flat out say that they don't want to raise taxes, but do it anyways. They are also just as bad if not worse in spending than the Democrats.
That doesn't mean that I think the Democrats are sweet innocent angels,that simply ain't the case, just that of the two I find the Democrats to be the lesser of two evils.
#1 For the most part I agree with the Democrats on Social Issues
#2 The Democrats are generally more upfront about wanting to raise taxes and why they want to raise them. Not always but far more often then the Republicans.
If you can find me principled men and women to run our government, so that I can live in a country that I want to live in with the types of freedoms I want. Then lets do lunch.
But until that time I will stand by the people who agree with me on what I believe are the important issues.
