Anastasia (1997)
I watched Anastasia (1997) with the voices of Meg Ryan, John Cusack, Christopher Lloyd, Kelsey Grammer, and Angela Lansbury on Netflix Instant streaming. This fictional story is the anti-Cinderella story. Cinderella was a commoner who fell in love with a prince. Anastasia was a princess who fell in love with a commoner.
It has been a very long time since I saw the 1956 version with Ingrid Bergman and Yul Brynner. I'm not really interested in seeing it again but now that more of the true story is known (thanks to DNA), maybe someone will create a new documentary. As I understand it, there is still controversy over which royal daughter was the one who was missing and was later found with their brother. Was it Anastasia (age 17) or Maria (age 19)?
