Guess what, they don't match up at all.
8AM today we had an appt at Harper University Hospital at Mack and John R for Brian's pre-admission testing. He passed all of that, no problems, blood work, giving them all his medical history, x-rays, his last ekg report, and seeing an anesthesiaoligist. we get done, go get his flu shot, and we find we actually have time to fit in a lunch before his appt at 1pm with the bariatric dr. So we go to a thai place on 12 mile that he knows of and we're giving the waitress our and the phone rings and she just walks off to answer the phone and take someone else's order without even excusing herself from us. So as we both thought that was rather disrespectful and downright rude, we left. Found an Indian place, just north of the hospital. Ate lunch and went off to keep his appt. We found out that we weren't seeing the dr at all, we just got to see the nutritionist, who promptly put Brian on a full liquid diet (with fresh veggies in a small amt) effective right then and there. No thanksgiving dinner for him at all. On Sunday he goes to a clear liquid diet. She wants him to start drinking his protein drinks today, which we haven't even decided which one he really wants. Sowe buy 2 containers of Unjury from her, a chocolate and unflavored one. We decided after our appt there that we'd better get down to GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe and do some shopping. EEEK, that crap is freaking expensive. He also has to have 2 chewable vitamins every day after the surgery and calcium citrate also. I was originally so elated that he would be stopping most of his meds and we could save that money for other things that needed covered. LOL that won't be happening till about 8 months down the road when he can stop most of this stuff mentioned above. And be eating regular food. We even have a timeline of when he can add things to his diet. So when he goes on this change in lifestyle, guess who else is getting one too. When I do a freezer check, I bet my jessie is gonna love me!
Okay I can smell the chicken stock now, gotta go see if it's getting to near boil yet, because we don't want that at all. Oh No, no boil for this! Talk at ya all later.
