Just got an order of 14 -- yes -- 14 books today. I have more pending delivery.
Some are work-ish books. Some are educational. Some are for fun.
Here goes:
Miles, Mutants, and Microbes: Because I've read all the other books in the series.
An 8 book series by Gerald Morris that had *better* be as good as I'm told, on threat of sending a Canadian winter southernly.
The C Programming Language (a classic on programming in C)
The Elements of Computing Systems
Design Patterns
Challenges for Game Designers
and
Understanding Comics
I've already finished reading the last one on the list, which I recommend for anyone who either enjoys comics or enjoys creating art, or understanding things. It's a classic for sequential artists for obvious reasons, but I consider it an excellent book otherwise. (It's actually recommended reading for a course on game designing I'm taking. That should explain the penultimate book as well.)
Next is probably Miles, since I recently read the other Miles books and ... well begun is half done? More like half done is well ended?
... something like that. Egghead loves his booky-books.
