Don't you hate it when you have a REALLY clear understanding of what you want to write one second, and then as soon as you switch to the screen your work's on it flies out of your head? This has been happening to me for the last two hours, and it has started to drive me batty. I have discovered an amazingly useful article on JStor (and it only took me 5 mins to find ths time - new record for me, it took about half an hour last time ><) full of truly amazing stuff that'll make my report sound like I actually put lots of effort into it rather than leaving it to the last possible minuite AGAIN *coughs* and the second I try and commit it to text, I can't remember what the hell I was thinking about. I also managed to find some half-decent books, but I hate reading, so at least I know why my brain wants to glaze over every time I try to read those.....
*grrs*
I'm tempted to give up the ghost and go home to watch Sword in the Stone and sleep before work tomorrow, but this assignment has to be in for Monday (4:30pm O_o eeeep) and I have a Vike session Saturday, sos I know I won't get it done....and I wanted to devote Sunday to coming and locating the most obscure books possible for my next essay (due the 24th) since all the obvious ones will be on hold for the next month and a half >< You'd think they'd let us have some more books. They've even got almost all of the OCD's out (Oxford Classical Dictionary - they have more than 1 copy of it because it's so darned useful *shockhorrorgasp*) and all but one of the Res Gestae's, which I have now swiped. Tis rather amusing...I kinda look like the lad advertising the History courses on the ad for one of the Universities - studying late into the night and surrounded by a big pile of stuffy books ^^ Ah, the life of a student.....
At least I've actually WRITTEN something for this damned essay, and it's only 1000 words, so it could be far worse I suppose (I'm nearly half-way there! Go team!) All that's left is attempting to critically comment on the four bits of the RG that they told me to comment on (and it had to be the most boring ones, didn't it? No death, fighting or scandal in any of 'em), and somehow tie it in to the interesting bit on apotheosis I'm currently reading.....fun fun fun
